#WATCHPARTY 'DARK PLACES' 1974 CHRISTOPHER LEE JOAN COLLINS AND HERBERT LOM!

JUST POSTED AT FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE one of the last of our PCASUK #WATCHWITHCUSHING Facebook #WATCHPARTIES in our quest to entertain during the #LOCK-DOWN period of the last three months! 'DARK PLACES' is one of few lesser seen films of Christopher Lee. It's a ghost story, with a few twists and some nice little surprises. It's a film of time... when it was produced back in 1974, but a lot of fun.

GITTE SAYS TO SEND YOU HER LOVE! WHILE YOU ARE STILL HERE! WHEN LOVE FILLS THE VACCUM OF FEAR!

#WATCHWITHCUSHING! It takes a special friendship and almost psychic understanding... in order to meet for what you know is probably the last time, and to give exchanges and comments to each other, that because of your bond, need only be given in your shared 'short hand', that has been crafted and exchanged over many years, during tough times and good. This is how we see a brief insight into the friendship, love and respect both Peter Cushing and his close friend Christopher Lee had for each other.

EVEN WITH THE CLOSE  proximity of death, could be handled with irony and gallows humour! Although, when asked by Peter, 'Will you fill in for me, if I don't make it through this day?' even Lee could only reply, 'Oh don't say that..' They behaved like this over a 30 year career and friendship of even longer, even though, it was known in the industry that even though Cushing and Lee had this closeness, their wives Gitte Lee and Helen Cushing . . were not that close. What they were was fiercely protective of their husbands, their careers, standing and reputations.. plus Helen was born in Leningrad, USSR and Gitte in Copenhagen, Denmark . . Strong wives, for husbands who loved to play 😊 - Marcus

TERRY O'NEILL : MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER OF ICONS SADLY DIES AGED 81

TERRY O'NEILL , the photographer who chronicled London’s 1960s culture by capturing the celebrities and public figures who defined the era, has died aged 81.

O'NEILL, who was awarded a CBE last month for services to photography and was known for his work with the likes of #FrankSinatra, #DavidBowie and Elizabeth Taylor and #EltonJohn died at home on Saturday night after a long illness, his agency said. He had prostate cancer.

MANY #PeterCushing #ChristopherLee, #VincentPrice and #JohnCarradine Fans, will know Terry's work from the outstanding promotional photograph he created of all four movie icons for the 1983 film, 'House of the Long Shadows'. The film brought all four actors together for the first time, but it was O'Neill who captured it in an amazing photograph!

IT IS WITH a heavy heart that Iconic Images announces the passing of Terence ‘Terry’ O’Neill, CBE,” a spokeswoman for the agency said. “As one of the most iconic photographers of the last 60 years, his legendary pictures will for ever remain imprinted in our memories, as well as in our hearts and minds

FELLOWSHIP, FRIENDS AND ONE FOR ONE LAST TIME!

#CHRISTOPHERLEE Saturday! Here's just four, of some of my favorite 'with friends' photographs of Christopher Lee. Three taken during the last ten years of Lee's life, he was still working, being very social and having a ball! It was great to see his face so often in newspapers and magazines, enjoying the fuss and the deserved praise he had worked so long and hard for...

HERE IS THE WHOLE ONE LAST TIME PLAYLIST  at the PCASUK YOUTUBE CHANNEL, which contains every clip of our EXCLUSIVE video library of the last time, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee met together. Candid, funny and emotional. MORE clips to come soon! ALL HERE! BELOW A SAMPLE CLIP from the whole series.😀

#HAMMERFILMSSATURDAY : THE MUMMY FRONT OF HOUSE

#HAMMERSATURDAY THIS is one of my all time favorite Peter Cushing films. It has it all. Drama, horror, a love story and action! And this is also one of my fav front of house stills. Beautiful colour and action that leaps off the pic! DO YOU have a fav Cushing pic, photo still? Or is there one you have never seen here, that you would like me to post or 'dig up' for you? Let me know!

THE IMAGE that first appeared on some propose artwork for a campaign poster for THE MUMMY.... Cushing saw the light shining through the body of Kharis and asked, 'Is that in our script?' When he was told no, he invented the bit of biz where he shoves a harpoon through the chest of the Mummy Kharis... 'If it's on the poster, our public will expect to see it!' said Cushing

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: 50 YEARS THIS MONTH!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY : FIFTY YEARS AGO this month, this interview with Peter Cushing appeared in the Evening News newspaper. Dr Who and the Daleks were big news following the success of the tv series and the first Dr Who Dalek movie the year before.. Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD was released on August 5th 1966 in the UK. The TWO Cushing Dr Who films, still stand as the only big screen outings of the Dalek's adventures. Cushing's Doctor is still regarded as non canon to the BBC tv series.
