NEWS: Valerie Leon Auction Event with SCREENING of the Hammer films 'Blood from the Mummy's Tomb'!
YES,
THAT Hand is crawling back again and IT and the entire movie, can be
seen on the giant screen at the Bristol IMAX on Friday 27 October.
What’s more, Valerie Leon will be present in person for a Q&A after
the screening. There will also be an auction of more than 40 lots from
her career, conducted by Bristol’s Auctioneum.
MANY OF US will no doubt
note this film as a very sad event also. In the early days of its
production, the casting of the character of Prof Fuchs, was played by
Peter Cushing. Sadly, Peter's wife Helen, became very ill, Peter had to
withdraw from production, to attend to Helen, in what be her last days, a
shattering event that would change and reshape Peter's perspective and
life, for the rest of his days. Actor Andrew Kerr stepped very quickly
to take the role of the professor, and a very performance he gave too.
THIS FRIDAY sounds like a great event for fans of Valerie Leon's work,
Hammer films and might also get lucky in bidding on a fine treasure of
Leon Lots! . . . - marcus
