OK..NEWS EXCLUSIVE: What do YOU think? The LIMITED EDITION COLLECTABLE MODEL KIT FIGURE of the Peter Cushing influenced character that appears in the excellent #THEPROFESSOR comic..is now in the planning stages and Andrea Corbetta, the sculptor Roberto De Meo and the guy who had the idea, Davide Decina . .  have very kindly let us a quick sneak preview of what the figure could actually look like.... and from the first impressions, looking at their illustrations on our banner..it looks very impressive! We'll be keeping you posted with updates and any news, as we get it from the Professor team.

Along with the CGI Tarkin posts and Star Wars news, our last post on THE PROFESSOR, was one of the highest website hits in the past six months!! Looks like this is going to be very popular model kit... let us know what you think of the figure so far?? - Marcus

. . .Davide Decina, Roberto De Meo and Andrea Corbetta (THE PROFESSOR) are proud to announce that they are preparing to release a resin bust model kit, about Corbetta's Comic character THE PROFESSOR! THE PROFESSOR  comic strip story, is fast becoming a much sort after collectable magazine. Not since the Dez Skinn 'House of Hammer' magazine of the 1980's,  have we seen Cushing imaginatively placed in a 'gothic  Hammer style' comic story. Issue THREE goes on sale at newsstands on FEBRUARY 28TH 2017!

Vi abbiamo presentato sovente molti progetti inerenti la figura di Peter Cushing ma, uno dei migliori è sicuramente il fumetto creato da Andrea Corbetta #theprofessor. Troverete molti accenni nel personaggio che sembra essere una via di mezzo tra Van Helsing, Sherlock Holmes e il Barone Victor dei film Hammer, fin dalla prima pagina. Curato in ogni dettaglio e illustrato con grande attenzione al racconto, si rimane incollati fino all'ultima vignetta. Anche le copertine sono superbe oltre alle tavole interne. Potete trovarlo in edicola ogni due mesi.

2016 PRESENTED US with quite a few interesting developments around the career of Peter Cushing, and one of the better ones was Andrea Corbetta's excellent comic, #THEPROFESSOR. With more than just a little nod to a central character who looks and behaves like a cross between Van Helsing, Sherlock Holmes and The Baron, The Professor drips in that atmosphere of gothic dread, that lovers of Hammer films will recognize right away from the turn of the first page. Beautifully detailed and illustrated, with a great twist in the tale, you never know what is coming next. Many of the panels would not look out of place, at the risk of mutilating your issue, cut out and frame on your den wall! The full-colour covers are quite superb!

COME LOOK AND BE TEASED : THE PROFESSOR : A HOMAGE TO PETER CUSHING

ONCE IN A WHILE someone comes up with a very good concept in the comic world. And 'THE PROFESSOR' falls very snugly into that category. Just a few days ago, I was contacted by an associate who thought 'THE PROFESSOR' would be of interest to us all. I must be honest, during the course of a few months, it is not unusual for us to receive several emails or posts about 'Cushing-connected or themed' projects. But, from the go this one got my interest.

 

 

I HAVE TO BE HONEST and admit, I am not a collector of comics and I can't remember the last time, I actual read a comic of any kind!  But this is one I really want to read. I have included several of the 'TEASERS' here for your enjoyment.... and they DO manage to perform their function very well..Just a glance at any one, will I am sure, get you to view the next. The question hangs over each one, 'Wow, what does that mean? OR 'What happened next?' 

NOW OF COURSE we are primed to a certain extent here, we are lovers of Cushing's work and the roles he played, so the artwork panels and teasers, are very more-ish and have our interest. BUT look at that art work, interesting isn't it? And again, each image leaves us with a ....what does all this mean? We are not being let in on the secret, WE have to wait too......!

 

'THE PROFESSOR' is the beautiful creation of Italian writer, ANDREA CORBETTA and all the people you see below... Corbetta calls it 'An homage to Peter Cushing'. The first issue of 'THE PROFESSOR' arrives in SEPTEMBER 2016. So, not that long to wait. And rest assured, we WILL be waiting !
