THE PETER CUSHING HAND PAINTED SILK SCARF . .designed by Peter for the
movie premier of Olivier's Hamlet in 1948. As we all know, Peter
impressively played Osric in the film, but showed an extra talent, as a
designer and artist! So impressive was the scarf design, that BLOND Bros
of London, renowned makers of ladies and gentlemen's scarves, placed
orders and sold it in twelve different colours! Even the Queen had her
own, Peter Cushing designed scarf!

THE PROFESSOR ISSUE THREE OUT NOW!
2016 PRESENTED US with quite a few interesting developments around the career of Peter Cushing, and one of the better ones was Andrea Corbetta's excellent comic, #THEPROFESSOR. With more than just a little nod to a central character who looks and behaves like a cross between Van Helsing, Sherlock Holmes and The Baron, The Professor drips in that atmosphere of gothic dread, that lovers of Hammer films will recognize right away from the turn of the first page. Beautifully detailed and illustrated, with a great twist in the tale, you never know what is coming next. Many of the panels would not look out of place, at the risk of mutilating your issue, cut out and frame on your den wall! The full-colour covers are quite superb!
The first issues of THE PROFESSOR ZERO AND ISSUE ONE are available now to buy and order. ISSUE THREE IS ON THE NEWSSTANDS NOW! Just follow THIS link: HERE!

#SHERLOCKSUNDAY : THE CASE OF THE SABOTAGED DANCING MEN EPISODE
#SHERLOCKSUNDAY Here's a little tale, a story, a case that would puzzled the great #SHERLOCKHOLMES himself maybe. THE CASE OF THE SABOTAGED EPISODE, concerns the events that unfolded live before the British television viewing public on the night of MONDAY 16th SEPTEMBER 1968. When the unsuspecting viewers settled down to watch the latest episode of the BBC's 'SHERLOCK HOLMES' series, starring Peter Cushing as Holmes and Nigel Stock as Dr Watson. Back in 1968, this series was not only the BBC's first Sherlock outing in colour, but it was afforded the luxury of being broadcast on an early form of video tape. Any outdoor location work, was shot on film and inserted, edited into the finished EDITED video programme.
AT THE POINT of completion, each programme existed in two forms, an edited version, with all studio sequences edited in order, just as you would see in an broadcast at home. The other version would be what is known as B ROLL footage, this consists of the entire recorded programme in a very rough form, with sometimes many recordings of the same scene, complete with mistakes, outakes and errors. OUR STORY BEGINS....
