RARE DRACULA LOBBY CARD AND TARKIN TRIBUTE CLIP

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY! Probably the strangest thing I have ever found included in the images of a US Lobby Set.... but VERY good indeed. A Throw Back to 1958 and the Horror of Dracula / Dracula from Hammer films. I disguarded piece of production or promotional artwork, ends up on a lobby card! 🙂 What do you think of it?

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY! . . . . Industrial Light and Magic building Peter Cushing's Grand Moff Tarkin, from the feet up, with actor Guy Henry in 'Rogue One : A Star Wars Story' (2016) Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

DISNEY AND LUCASFILM were able to bring the look of the original 1977 movie back to the big screen with modern film making technology. Perhaps the most impressive achievement amidst all that attention to detail was the film’s uncanny ability to convincingly bring Peter Cushing’s character, the Grand Moff Tarkin, back to life on the screen. Here Guy Henry is outfitted with a motion-capture suit and head-mounted gear to preserve the actor’s moves and facial expressions, which were ultimately overlaid with Cushing’s likeness. The rig affixed to Henry almost looks like a device straight out of a sci-fi movie on its own.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MARK HAMILL : VINTAGE INTERVIEW

Happy Birthday To actor Mark Hamill, who is probably best known for his role as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Films .

HAMILL co-starred with Peter Cushing in the first Star Wars film 'A New Hope' (1977) However, Hamill was disappointed to learn that he had no scenes with Peter's character Grand Moff Tarkin, so he took the time to visit the set on the days Peter was working, to meet with him... Hamill is a huge fan of his and of Hammer Horror…judging by his VIDEO INTERVIEW above..!

HOT TOYS TARKIN AND VADER 40TH ANNIVERSARY SET

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: Here's a VERY popular character that Peter Played 'A long, Long Time Ago...' and just keeps on giving! You may remember me posting some exclusive photographs here of Peter Cushing's TARKIN as an amazing new figure from HOT TOYS? Well, Graham Alexander Holden, provided those great pics, and today as promised he got in touch, to let us know that HOT TOYS have posted a great gallery of images of the Cushing Tarkin figure on their facebook page, and they look terrific! Graham told me, ' The Tarkin figure is also going to be part of a package containing Vader, as well as other extras. This will make it a very pricey purchase, so for those on a limited budget, the single figure purchase will be the better option!' Good advice. #MOREMONSTERMONDAY: ROGUE ONE COMES TO NETFLIX

#MONSTERMONDAY: If you didn't get the chance to catch #ROGUEONE at the flicks, but you do subscribe to #NETFLIX you might want to take a first, second or third (?) look at #ROGUEONE which has recently been added to their feature film menu! Like with the blu ray and the dvd, the #TARKIN CGI somehow looks a little smoother? If you get the time to watch. I'd love to hear your opinion on this... - Marcus

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: NEW FIGURE BEST YET AND MRS PEEL BLOWS OUT THE CANDLES!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: REMEMBER the FIRST #PeterCushing #TARKIN figure? Well, he's come a long, long, away since then...Here is the NEW  1/6th scale model of Tarkin made by Hot Toys a company that specializes in 1/6th scale collectible figures from popular movies, video games, comics as well as world renowned celebrities! Not sure about when it's going to up for sale as he was just unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con today! GOOD JOB!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: ''Women of my age are still attractive. Men of my age are not' ... so said, this amazing icon of entertainment last year. And you know, Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg, DBE...does have point! Many actors from her era have either left us, or look like an unmade bed! We all know the Cushing Connection here, Mrs Peel in the Brit 1960's tv series, The Avengers, where PC played the very dashing Paul Beresford, a smooth operator, pushing all the buttons as romantic interest for Rigg's all action Mrs Peel and a finger on the button of death that commanded his deadly Cybernaut!

DIANA RIGG'S CAREER  also features the splendid 'Theatre of Blood' with Vincent Price. She also worked with Christopher Lee in the Avengers tv series.in 'Never, Never Say Die' in 1967. Currently starring in the international hit tv series, Game of Thrones, Rigg is in no hurry to retire, and I think like Mrs Pell, she'll be 'socking it to us' for a while yet Happy Birthday Diana Rigg, born today in 1938.
