54 YEARS AGO THIS MONTH : THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN IN THE WORLD!

54 YEARS AGO, this month Hammer films, 'SHE' starring #PeterCushing, Ursula Andress, Christopher Lee and Bernard Cribbins opened in the UK on April 18th 1965! At the time of the opening Andress was billed as the most 'Beautiful Woman In the World'...maybe. Our PCAS album today, features Ursula in the role Ayesha, 'She Who Must Be Obeyed!' in the movie. These three posed 'on set' shots were taken by the studio photographer and quickly sent to the press publicity office... though few made it into the newspapers and magazines, which is a shame considering how amazing she looks. Blessed with a beauty that the camera loved, it was Hammer make up artist, Roy Ashton's job, to devise a whole series of make up's that turned Ursula into a woman of several hundred years old...and dust! How do you rate Andress with the many other attractive actresses who starred in Hammer / Cushing films?

HERE IS A PCAS feature and a pretty comprehensive guide to the various SHE cinema adaptions over the years  and a GALLERY including #PeterCushing's role of Holly in Hammer films 1965 production! JUST CLICK HERE!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: NEW FIGURE BEST YET AND MRS PEEL BLOWS OUT THE CANDLES!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: REMEMBER the FIRST #PeterCushing #TARKIN figure? Well, he's come a long, long, away since then...Here is the NEW  1/6th scale model of Tarkin made by Hot Toys a company that specializes in 1/6th scale collectible figures from popular movies, video games, comics as well as world renowned celebrities! Not sure about when it's going to up for sale as he was just unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con today! GOOD JOB!

#THROWBACKTHURSDAY: ''Women of my age are still attractive. Men of my age are not' ... so said, this amazing icon of entertainment last year. And you know, Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg, DBE...does have point! Many actors from her era have either left us, or look like an unmade bed! We all know the Cushing Connection here, Mrs Peel in the Brit 1960's tv series, The Avengers, where PC played the very dashing Paul Beresford, a smooth operator, pushing all the buttons as romantic interest for Rigg's all action Mrs Peel and a finger on the button of death that commanded his deadly Cybernaut!

DIANA RIGG'S CAREER  also features the splendid 'Theatre of Blood' with Vincent Price. She also worked with Christopher Lee in the Avengers tv series.in 'Never, Never Say Die' in 1967. Currently starring in the international hit tv series, Game of Thrones, Rigg is in no hurry to retire, and I think like Mrs Pell, she'll be 'socking it to us' for a while yet Happy Birthday Diana Rigg, born today in 1938.

An AMAZING PORTRAIT of  Peter Cushing as Baron Frankenstein,  a great  example of Veronica Carlson's skill as an artist.

Probably the most suspenseful scene in the entire movie 'The Ghoul' (1975) with Veronica again cast with Peter Cushing . . .

THE WORLD'S MOST SCARCE FILM MAGAZINE! ORDER MONSTER MAG NUMBER TWO HERE!

Believe it or not, the long-lost 1973 second issue of MONSTER MAG is finally available in English, 41 years late!

Deemed unsuitable for an all-age market, the entire print run to the English language MM #2 was destroyed by HM Customs & Excise back in 1973, leaving an annoying gap for collectors who have snapped up the German and French editions for as much as £1000 each, just to fill their gaps!

Now, finally, series creator Roger Noel Cook and relaunch editor Dez Skinn have come together to produce an authentic limited edition full-size reproduction of this absurdly rare item.

Identical to the real destroyed thing except for the Quality company symbol replacing the original Warner Bros symbol on the cover and a reference to the digital remastering in the editorial block (to avoid any naughty passing off) it is now finally available.

Stocks are limited, so order now to avoid disappointment.

NOTE THAT YOU MAY BE PRE-ORDERING AS COPIES WILL BE MAILED OUT WEEK COMMENCING JUNE 9, 2014.

Payment can be made by post by cheque or postal order.
Send orders, payable to Quality, to:
