#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY: OVER THE PAST TWO DAYS we've really given THIS FILM a good chewing over! It's been great sharing, posting, commenting and reading your thoughts on #SCREAMANDSCREAMAGAIN. We also had a lively debate on Peter Cushing #INCENSEFOR THEDAMNED too. And, despite all their floors, plot holes and wobbliness, it shines through, we still enjoy and appreciate them. After sharing a few behind the scenes stills on the thread at the PCAS FACEBOOK FAN PAGE someone messaged me and asked if the film had much in the way of behind the scenes photographs, and if it did, do I have any, that I would post?

#SCREAMANDSCREAMAGAIN DOES HAVE some great publicity stills and behind the scenes photographs, and we have quite a nice selection of them, which following that request, I will be posting in a special feature, as part of our usual posts for our Peter Cushing THRILLS-FILLED themed Sunday: #GETTHECUSHIONITSCUSHING. LOTS of Vincent Price shots, along with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing to be seen. In fact the Peter Cushing behind the scenes photographs, will be posted as a separate supplement post too. #TOOCOOLTUESDAY: I would have liked to have shown you what must be, one of the rarest posters featuring Hammer's DRACULA as played by Christopher Lee. However, our website provider is very strict on what is considered, naughty, far too naughty and what is down right, 'ooh er missus!. So, here is as much as we can reveal. Those of you who are familiar with the bit of detective work I did about three years ago on, the Daily Mirror Christopher Lee Photo-Session and the 'Linda Hayden' pic, will know the session that this colour pic came from! #TOOCOOLTUESDAY: TIME WARP VAMPIRE SHOES : AND TWO DRACULA ACTRESSES THAT ARE NOT LINDA HAYDEN

#TOOCOOLTUESDAY: ANSWER? Very cool and a bit of a trend setter too... Note her PALE BLUE STILETTO HEEL SHOES... they were not invented until the early 1940's.... This scene in Hammer films Dracula starring Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee, took place in 1885, putting her at least 55 years ahead of popular fashion, un-dead she maybe, dumb she isn't !!

 

#‎toocooltuesday‬ : PETER CUSHING, an actor who for the latter third of his career did get trapped in a kind of type-casting, of horror fantasy roles, and even though he didn't watch horror films, had a good sense of humour about it all... that's too-cool!

#‎TOOCOOLTUESDAY‬ : HERE'S A VERY COOL REPOST, that also turned out to be one of our most popular series of posts on our website. It it tells the tale of Christopher Lee having a right ol bat flap in a series of contact sheet photographs from a photo session with a Daily Mirror newspaper photographer in 1972...This feature you can find at the website HERE!

NOT ALONG AFTER we posted the Dracula Daily Mirror Pictures . . . We started getting enquiries about a colour photograph we posted in the feature. A mysterious photograph that was also turning up at signing sessions, and being signed by LINDA HAYDEN. The problem was..it WASN'T Linda Hayden in the photograph with Christopher Lee.. but someone with a Space 1999 / glamour model connection . . the mystery was solved! AS THE PUZZLE OF THE ' NOT LINDA HAYDEN' photograph was solved, we decided to get to the bottom of another mysterious face in Dracula AD 1972, the DANCER ON THE PIANO.. who again, some were saying...also could be the girl in the pic with Lee! This one, wasn't going away.. but after MORE digging and a telephone chat with the lady in question.. we managed to solve this one too! Find out just who THAT girl is RIGHT HERE

#TOOCOOLTUESDAY : HAMMER FILMS JULIE EGE SINGS TOUCH ME / STOP IT I LIKE IT AND THEN STOPS!

#TOOCOOLTUESDAY Over at our FACEBOOK FAN PAGE we posed the question, 'Can you name the Cushing / Hammer films co-star who had a fleeting recording career?' Who would have thought that the answer was glamorous actress and co star of Hammer films, 'Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires', JULIE EGE was the answer we were looking for?

JULIE EGE'S RECORDING CARRER started in 1971, with the release of the single, Love written by John Lennon, with a 'b-side' of 'In One Of Your Weaker Moments' (CBS 5431) It is believed the single came with this  naked 'talent shot' below.

NOT ANOTHER NOTE was heard from Ege until 1977, when she released, Touch Me / Stop It I Like It (Starbox SX 1158)... certainly not the kinda happy sing-a-long ditty, you would want to plop onto the turn table, at your grandma's 80th birthday party, family get together! Ege was approached by a recording company with a contract to record some further songs, and release a whole album! But, wisely Ege realised she probably was not the best of singers (!) and her short singing career ended there.

GUESS THE FILM AND THE ACTRESSES : ON SET SATURDAY

#ONTHESETSATURDAY: We have a couple of choice behind the scenes and on set photographs and rare colour transparencies for you this week. A little different this time around, I would like you to tell US which film these great snaps come from, and of course the only thing they really have in common, is they are all from Peter Cushing films. HAVE FUN!

TO FINISH OFF...This is one of my all-time personal favourite 'behind the scenes' photographs from a Peter Cushing film! It's wonderfully busy, a real slice of life from the set of Hammer film at lovely ol Bray studios... Peter Cushing compares notes and script with director Terence Fisher, while an assistant to wardrobe mistress Rosemary Burrows,quickly fixes a stitch or seam on the belt of Cushing's waist coat, while actor Thorley Walters stops and pauses to rethink that line of dialogue... actress Susan Denberg wanders by, playing with her bonnet!.... absolutely charming!

THIS YEAR, 2016 marks the 60th anniversary of PCAS, help us celebrate Peter Cushing life and career, by sharing our post on any of our sites.
