SIR#CHRISTOPHERLEE remembered today. It is five years since the passing of Christopher
Lee... but his huge legacy of work and life, reminds us all here very
often, of how lucky we all were to have had such an impressive and
talent individual with us then . . and who still continues to entertain
and influence so many even today!
BACK IN 2015 when Christopher Lee passed, Bryan Adams posted this
comment about his time with Lee, during their photo session :
'Singer Bryan Adams has paid tribute to veteran actor Sir Christopher Lee, who died aged 93 on Sunday. The Canadian rocker met Lee - famous for his chilling portrayals of
screen villains from Dracula to the wizard Saruman in Lord of the Rings -
when he took photographs of him for a book. The pair hit it off and Adams told how the actor used to leave funny phone messages for him.
"One I can sort of recall was sort of like...'Hello Bryan, I see you
cut a swathe through Paris. Many people have called me to say they have
seen you in various states of debauchery, and quite right too'... It was
brilliant," he said.
Adams added Sir Christopher Lee was a "great character" who would be "greatly missed".
Back last year, I was sent a photograph of Christopher Lee, which I
thought was really something! I loved the pose, the lighting and the
attitude that the photographer had managed to get from Lee . . Little
did I know that, the photograph was one of a collection of portraits in
2018 at exhibition called 'EXPOSE', by none other than singer Bryan
Adams! His exhibition contains many really interesting portraits from
Sir Ben Kingsley, Amy Winehouse, Michael Jackson, Louise Bourgeois,
Lindsay Lohan and Dame Judi Dench. . . an impressive list, which also
included 'Her Majesty The Queen', no less! I still think this is
one of my most favourite portraits of Christopher Lee . . Lee would have
loved the position of his frame in the gallery too😉😊 - Marcus Brooks
AS YOU HAVE no doubt spotted, I try to share something related to his work with Peter often, plus we do have a Christopher Lee theme EVERY Saturday here too!

probably be most proud of and I think, want to be remembered for.. We
can always enjoy that . . . in memory of one of the greatest!
SIR CHRISTOPHER LEE remembered today. Four years on . . . It's still a little strange how
there still isn't an official CHRISTOPHER LEE fan site on the net. Before his passing, there was an official site, that
had slowed down, then a week after Lee's death, was closed to any
updates and carried a banner of, being remodeled to re-appear soon. We
are still waiting. Just two weeks ago, during the week of both Lee's and Cushing's birthday anniversaries, we shared the news of Lady Birgit Lee, donating several personal scrapbooks of rare photographs and clippings, from Sir Lee's archive to the British Film Institute.
IN THE MEANTIME, I try to share something related, if
only by a Cushing post. Plus we do have a Christopher Lee theme EVERY
Saturday here! Posts about Christopher Lee here and at our PCAS Facebook Fan Page
are always well received and supported. There are always lots of
comments and text from followers and members, who still miss his
presence and regularly watch the wealth of work, that we can always
enjoy . . . in memory of one of the greatest!

SATURDAY! Probably, one of THE most popular promo photos we have posted over the
years here on the pcasuk fb page and website. It's one of two colour
portraits and as an off set peep at #petercushing and #christopherlee while shooting the penultimate #hammerfilms Dracula, it's an amazing photograph. News of the release of #warnerbrothers
blu rays of Dracula AD 1972 and Satanic Rites, has met with lots of
interest, while we wait to find out if the remastered films, will carry
any extras. Over at the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE, we are asking followers, WHAT would YOU like to see included in the EXTRAS FEATURES
of both releases?? Feel free to pop over there and add your ideas and thoughts!- Marcus

YOU WOULD HAVE to have been living in a CAVE not to be aware
what took place in WINDSOR UK today...a ROYAL Wedding no less, of Prince
Harry and Meghan Markle, all supported by a few thousand guests from
around the globe and a few hundred thousans members of the public,
cheering and support their BIG day! It's the kind of thing that both
Peter and Christopher Lee would have enjoyed very much. BOTH were royal
supporters...and each had ther own private time with The Queen, Prince
Charles, Princess Diana and co... Lee of course had his KNIGHTHOOD and
Peter his OBE... The wedding event is still going strong, and our TV and
radio stations are covering every detail! But hey...I didn't get an
invite!!! I wish Harry and Meghan MUCH happiness and success in the
coming years...they are very popular, and I am very very happy for
them..I think PC and CL would have been too . . .

CONSIDERING THERE ARE SO MANY film, actor fan pages and groups, across
facebook and the web, I only belong to a handful, mainly because, just posting a
fuzzy photograph or asking you name your top five films, every other
day. . .doesn't quite cut it for me personally. I want to see some
thought put in and some interesting and engaging material. . .
.please...! Rare photographs / memorabilia shared and a true insight to
the subject matter of said page / group. I want to feel when I have taken time to visit there, that I have learned something or and had fun.
THE SIR ROBERT STEPHENS APPRECIATION SOCIETY, has only recently been
launched, and I am very happy to say, that if what has been shared there
already, is anything like we can expect in the future.... Joanna Keani
Jones, who creates the posts and admins the group, is doing a fabulous
job.
"The Sir Robert Stephens Appreciation Society is a celebration of the
life & artistry of this incredibly gifted actor. Sir Robert always
gave his best in performance and in the process, created a myriad of
incredible character studies in which the viewer could relate to,
understand and very often, find sympathy with, regardless of the
character's intentions.
Because of Sir Robert's ability to create such emotion-fueled, nuanced portrayals in film, theatre, TV & radio, he
garnered many admirers of his work which continues on today, some
20-plus years after his passing. This group has been created to discuss
and share information with like-minded enthusiasts of all things Sir
Robert." -Joanna Keani
Jones
YOU HAVE TO BE PASSIONATE TO CREATE banners, images and content like
Joanna has. Rare theatre programmes, stills, reviews, clippings. It's
ALL there and shared in hi res. As I mentioned in our early post,
Stephens was a very rare talent indeed. A complicated man, with a
complicated life. I can assure you, the content at the 'Sir Robert
Stephens Appreciation Society Group', will never be dull, just because
Stephens was far from dull, and Joanna shares material that really does
show the breath of his career and the diverse roles he played.
I CAN'T PRAISE THIS GROUP enough and I am so happy to see someone doing
such a fine job. Don't take my word for it, first watch the excellent
promo trailer below and then if you have a facebook account, GO SEE FOR YOURSELF. THEN LIKE and come
back and tell us, what you think? .Thank you. - Marcus
