JAMES BOND : SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE SNL : DRACULA COMPLETE AND TERRIFYING!

#CHRISTOPHERLEE Saturday! HERE AT the PCASUK BLOG and the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE it has been our tradition and habit most weekends to make Saturday's a day to celebrate one of #PeterCushing's closest friends, #ChristopherLee. And so today, over at the FACEBOOK FAN PAGE we have posted a rarely seen little gem of a an interview where Lee is very relaxed, full of stories and keen to promote a video which was being released that day, 'The Many Faces of Christopher Lee'. In fact, he mentions he is off to a HMV store in Manchester UK to do some sales and signings!

HEY MAYBE,  you were there too? Lots to hear here. Bond, Dracula and some more than usual about his time hosting the US tv show, 'Saturday Night Live' where Steven Spielberg was in the audience that night, and it opened a new and great opportunity for Lee!

#CHRISTOPHERLEE SATURDAY! There are still many fans I know... who have not had the chance to see this. For those of you who aren't that familiar with this film, the ending will probably seem great and a cool dramatic climax. For others, it's the result of over 40 years of waiting, for several extra shots, that some believed existed, others not so, but impossible for both to prove.. until now! The facts behind the story of how these extras shots were eventually found, is legend in itself and it's all down to an amazing guy, writer and cartoonist Simon Rowson, who succeeded where everyone else failed. Without him and his determination, we would not be watching this right now Maybe the greatest of all Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee's scenes for Hammer films? Listen out for Dracula footsteps! Enjoy! Take care everyone and have a safe weekend - Marcus ðŸ˜‰

SO WHAT WAS IT LIKE TO BE SIR CHRISTOPHER LEE?

WHAT WAS IT LIKE to be Christopher Lee? Well, if you watch this short, raw, unedited footage from a candid chat with Lee back in 2001, you get an idea! Being in the spotlight certainly exposes you to everyone and it seems, everyone wanted something! The press, weird attention, fans, critics and . . . babies? Poor Christopher got it all. Lots to hear and see here. Certainly worth your attention, if you ever wondered why Sir Christopher could be a little blunt or guarded . . now you KNOW why . .

THE ABOVE IS FOR TERI SPEIRS in Grand Junction, CO US, here is a request she made yesterday at the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE on Christopher Lee's Birthday, but we just didn't have time to fit in! Teri wanted anything that was from the 'staking scene' in Hammer films, Dracula Has Risen from The Grave' ... but if possible an 'on-set' shot, but not a dvd frame or press photograph 😩😫😂Ok, well I think this fits the bill! It's from a contact sheet, so never published, a little grainy, but look at THAT face! 😮 Hope this does the job, Teri - Marcusl

MARK HAMILL ON THE CUSHING CGI AND NO TO ITS USE FOR LATE CARRIE FISHER AND LEIA

MARK HAMILL doesn’t think re-casting late Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: Episode IX is a good idea. The actress who passed away on December 27, 2016, after going into cardiac arrest at the age of 60 has left a prominent role in question for both fans and the makers. In an interview with Collider, Hamill, who portrays Carrie Fisher’s on-screen sibling Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars franchise, said that Fisher as Princess Leia is irreplaceable.

”First of all, I don’t know what the specific plans were for that character but just the way Han Solo was more prominent in [Episode] VII, Luke more prominent in VIII, we assumed Leia would be more prominent in IX, especially since the dynamic of having Kylo Ren as her son,” Hamill said. “I think it would be tough recasting Carrie because she is so indelibly linked to that character.” SAYS MARK HAMILL

NOTABLY, the Last Jedi writer/director Rian Johnson has already confirmed that the makers don’t want to alter Fisher’s final performance, ultimately positioning her for a return in Episode IX. But the fact that Lucasfilm won’t attempt to digitally recreate the actress in any way, has left fans questioning about the character’s future.

“They’ve already ruled out of a computer-generated performance like they did with Peter Cushing [in Rogue One] so, gee, that’s gotta be a real, not insurmountable problem, but I know that the script had been in development so that when we lost her they had to go back to square one,” Hamill added. “But she is irreplaceable, you know, as far as I’m concerned.”

RECENTLY, some Star Wars fans came up with an online petition pleading the filmmakers to cast Meryl Streep to play the role of Leia in Star Wars: Episode IX But there is one person in particular who is not for the change: Mark Hamill.

HAMILL has posted about his devastation over losing his space sister on countless occasions. He also said in a previous interview he is not able to watch Luke and Leia's scene in Last JediKathleen Kennedy of Lucasfilm has gone on record saying Last Jedi would be Fisher's Star Wars film, meaning no CGI or repurposed material in following installments.

NOW, everything stands in the hands of co-writers J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio. It will be interesting to find out how they handle Leia’s character in Episode IX when the film lands in theaters on December 20, 2019

IT'S A SCENE that most fans of the film appreciate, not only because of Cushing's VAN HELSING fighting off the evil of LUCY HOLMWOOD's vampire but also actresses Carol Marsh and a very young Janina Faye, presenting such horrible pathos and trauma  . . . a niece who truly wants to help and love her, DEAD AUNT!
