HERE IS the answer to last weeks, Cushing Tuesday Toughy 🙂 It was good to see some of you dug up the answer from our website, in a feature I wrote a few years ago, where we not only identitfied GLENDA ALLEN but also Maureen Flanagan, the 'other' dancer, seen in the party secen in Hammer films, 'Dracula AD 1972, starring Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing . . . REMEMBERING: Anthony Nelson Keys, Born today November 13th 1911, sadly no longer with us. Worked as producer on many Hammer films and some of Peter Cushing's best work for the company. He started work at Hammer back in 1947, wrapping in 1969, with Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed, for which he also received a writer credit. A much loved character on and off the set, with ready smile and a joke. See how many photographs you can find without Nelson Keys laughing or kidding with the photographer..!

MORE THAN EYE CANDY : A FIGHTER ON AND OFF SCREEN : JULIE EGE REMEMBERED

TODAY WE REMEMBER JULIE EGE, a model and actress, she starred in the James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1968) also in the Creatures The World Forgot (1971) for Hammer….she co-starred with Peter Cushing in Hammer's 'Legend Of The Seven Golden Vampires' (1974). Julie was much MORE than eye candy and thankfully, after her acting career moved on to a whole new life. Here is a very good feature on Julie, that gives the bigger picture and shows how she excelled right until her sad end . .

'For Ege, graduating as a nurse fulfilled a childhood dream, but  like others on this website, it also saved her life. While studying for her final exams, Ege discovered the early signs of breast cancer and believed that it was her new found knowledge that helped her detect the disease. Undeterred by the extensive medical treatment, including a mastectomy, she went on to work as a nurse for 22 years, facing the disease head on, including subsequent diagnoses of ovarian and lung cancer. She wrote her autobiography Naked, and continued to attend premieres and events in Oslo while at the Buskerud Hospital in Drammen. “She was a nurse and loved the job,” said her daughter Joanna to The Express newspaper. “You would never have known she had this rich, glamorous past if you’d met her. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY : ORIGINAL RECORDING OF PETER CUSHING 'NO WHITE PEAKS'

TODAY ON REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY:  Remembrance events will take place across the country to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice in 1918 that signaled the end of World War One. We mark this day with PETER CUSHING and his original recording of 'NO WHITE PEAKS'.
