ASYLUM AND THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD LIMITED RELEASE ON FIRST TIME BLU RAY IN UK


NEWS: Announced today, is the news of the arrival of TWO Amicus Peter Cushing films being released as limited editions next month on blu ray  SECOND SIGHT FILMS  in the UK for the FIRST TIME on the 29th of JULY 2019! Both THE HOUSE THAT DRIPPED BLOOD and ASYLUM contain very neat menu of bonus extras, some new additions, some passed over from previous releases. but BOTH have exceptional cases artwork by my good mate, Graham Humphreys, plus both have supplement 40 page booklets on the movies too! Here is the run down on what each release is offering as a pretty neat package . . we'll be sharing a review on this release, the print and the contents very soon, so keep your eyes peeled. TODAY WE REMEMBER Robert Quarry, a great actor best known for his roles in a number of horror films in the 70’s such as 'Count Yorga Vampire' (1970) and its sequel 'The Return Of Count Yorga' (1971) , 'Dr. Philbes Rises Again' (1973) and 'Madhouse' (1974) with Peter Cushing and Vincent Price . . Quarry was also featured in guest spots on such TV shows as "Studio 57," "The Lone Ranger," "Hallmark Hall of Fame," "Mike Hammer," "The Fugitive," "Perry Mason," "Ironside," "Cannon," "The Rockford Files," and "Buck Rogers in the 25th Century."


OUTSIDE OF HIS WORK in movies and television, Robert also had a highly distinguished stage career. Quarry acted in Broadway productions of "As You Like It," "The Taming of the Shrew," "Richard III," and "Gramercy Ghost." He acted alongside Cloris Leachman in "Design for Living" at the Stage Society in Los Angeles and in 1966 went on tour with a traveling roadshow production of "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". 


HE REGULARLY studied his craft at the Actors Lab in Hollywood. Blessed with an IQ of 168, Quarry was a Life master at bridge. In addition, Robert studied cooking at the Cardon Bleu School in Manhattan and was the author of the best-selling cookbook "Wonderfully Simple Recipes for Simply Wonderful Food." Robert Quarry died at age 83 on February 20, 2009 in Woodland Hills, California.

FIRST LOOK: DR TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS LIMITED EDITION STEEL BOOK BLU RAY


It's not released until September 21, 2015..but here's our first proper look at the Odeon Entertainment Dr Terror's House of Horrors (1965) Steel Book Blu ray packaging. Looks very nice indeed. With it's LIMITED numbered edition release of 4,000, with specially commissioned artwork by Graham Humphreys, the extras Include a brand new making of Dr Terror documentary by Nucleus Films and a recently filmed appreciation of the life and career of the late Sir Christopher Lee. It's available for PRE ORDER now….

The Blu-ray will be region free
