#CHRISTOPHERLEE INTERVIEW : #PANTS! SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE! #LEATHERBIKERS AND MARRIAGE!

#WATCHWITHCUSHING! Over at the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE I have posted a NEW INTERVIEW with Christopher Lee for you this #pcasuk #ChristopherLee Saturday! RIGHT HERE! I believe this was shot by THAMES Television in the UK. Here he covers quite a bit! New stories, he is relaxed, having fun, even though the presenter is a bit of dope.. you'll spot it! UK 'all-round ace entertainer' Lionel Blair is polite and more on the button. Lee and his #trousers / Pants story is funny and one #PeterCushing would have appreciated!

THERE ARE SEVERAL little nuggets, subjects that Lee has covered many times, but you can see the method which many actors use, like Cushing, when they start the 'chat and yak' show circuit over years . .  you keep something back! This seems to be the case here, '... now with a little more detail, the EXTENDED version!' 😃😉 Shame on me, but I still have yet to catch Lee in '#Serial' (1980) . . if you have seen it, please share come over to the Facebook Fan Page and SHARE your thoughts and opinions on the THREAD! 😊 Please stay well and SAFE! - Marcus

ALSO SHARED ON THE FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE is THIS little bit of fun that was posted to me a few days ago! I have seen it around, and thought you may have missed it! I have no idea who the artist is, if it is YOU please shout and I will of course credit you 😊 On posting this fine picture / painting this morning UK, it was no time at all before some eagle-eyed follower remembered something very similar from a long way back in #Hammerfilms #TheVampireLovers, one General von Spielsdorf, played by Peter Cushing!

UPDATE: FOR A FEW HOURS, I sat while reading several comments on the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE about this post with Cushing in his multi medalled painting / portrait. I kept thinking where has that head come from.. . . it doesn't look like it's sitting correctly on those shoulders and collar? Then the obvious finally hit me, I am even slower these days of isolation and bouncing off four walls. It IS of course lifted off the NECK in this photograph, I have posted here.... many times!

A DIFFERENT DOCTOR WHO FROM A DIFFERENT TIME THAT COULD HAVE BEEN?

#MEANWHILE IN A #TARDIS, not that far away! Here is a FINE piece of 'imagine IF' art from the twitter page of 'Timeless Tim'! #PeterCushingISDrWho! I have no idea who did this work, but would love to so I could congratulate them. IF only. You can see how the whole concept would work. The image of Peter Cushing is from around the mid 1960's 'Frankenstein Created Woman' time, the lab coat 1957, 'The Curse of Frankenstein', a wonderfully appropriate TARDIS interior . . an the 1970's K9, is the cheery on the cake...it crosses all kids of era's, styles and Doctor Who periods of time Just like all the best episodes, all about time 😊 Over at the Facebook PCASUK Fan Page we are asking, 'Would YOU have WATCHED this, as a TV series??' Feel free to join in on the opinions and comments!

CONNECTING NICELY to the post above, here's a great photograph on set of Cushing's Dr Who in 'Dalek Invasion Earth 2150 AD' I remember when first seeing this pic when I was I my early teen and being shocked that the set was actually INSIDE the lots at Shepperton studios! Clever chaps, these film makers 😃

ALSO MARKED AT THE   FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE TODAY MAY 14TH is  the birthday of Eric Morecambe, one half of the most successful comedy team in the UK. Still missed, loved by all, with Eric's passing back in 1984, it left a hole not only in the entertainment world but also in people's hearts. With his partner, Ernie...they provided one of tv's longest running gags, 'Peter Cushing and his Money!'... he did eventually get it , but not until the boys, had a lot of fun with it, stretching over many years and several programmes. God bless, Eric, Happy Birthday and thanks for all those precious memories and laughs 😅😀

ABOVE is one of my favourite Peter Cushing guest spots with Eric and Ernie! Peter has come for his money, paying for when he is first appeared on their show. It's ironic that the BBC wanting value for money, also show a clip from that previous show, in this one!! Eric's teasing of Ernie for being tight with money was really a cover for the reputation the BBC had for being known as notoriously tight and mean with paying anyone... except their executives, in the 60's and 70's! Times haven't changed....

LITTLE WITCH KATHY JOE DAYLOR BOPS WHILE CHRISTOPHER LEE RUMBLES PLUS NEW ISLAND OF TERROR CUSHING FIGURE WITH SILICATE!

HERE'S A LITTLE SOMETHING,  just rolled today.. out by #MonstersInMotion . . a limited 8 inch retro figure of #PeterCushing as Dr Brian Stanley, from 'Island of Terror' (1965) ... a firm favourite film with fans, so I see sculptor Steve Thompson's thinking in this one 😉 When I first hear about this I was told it cam with an accessory... Ahh, thought me, Dr Stanley's chopped off arm!!? 😲😦😀

NOPE, this figure also comes with a nice little accessory, that's much better, a #Silicate! So a nice deal. I don't collect these, but many do, who I am sure will rush to that limited edition order😃Nice work, Steve! I wonder what he has lined up next??

ALSO AS IT IT #CHRISTOPHERLEE SATURDAY TODAY! I have shared a little something special at the FACEBOOK PCASUK FAN PAGE too! It's . . thank goodness . . almost at the end of a whole decade of padded shoulders, bumping synths and back lit big hair . . 1989! 😲😛And just like the 1970's 'stand still Count', he almost favours here.. Christopher Lee provides his rumbling tone, a voice of authority and menace, to the dancing chords and hi bops of little Kathy Joe Daylor in her chart topping 'Little Witch' single, here being promoted on a German tv programme. It's a pity Lee didn't do a little more, as he certainly demonstrated in 'The Return of Captain Invincible' in 1983 he was quite capable of hot footing and jiggling his stuff, when asked  Sorry about the quality of the visual here, but I thought it was worth the fuzz, for the fun 😊 Take Care everyone 😃 - Marcus

ON SET 1974 BEHIND THE SCENES ON AMICIS FILMS / INDICATOR'S BLU RAY 'THE BEAST MUST DIE'

#MAKINGAWEREWOLF was a 'Dawg Gone Problem!', in 1974 . . that's for sure. And as we will probably learn from some of the 'extras' 'interviews' included on the soon to be released BLU Ray from #Indicatorfilms of Amicus films, 'The Beast Must Die'.. it was quite a job! Here are some photographs from the on set shooting days on the film, where 'The Beast' was needed and in residence. The 'experts on hand from Ted Samuels, make up Paul Rabiger and John Hilling from wardrobe, all appear to have had a hand in coming up with a solution. I am not expert and no nothing about dogs, I have a dribbling, furry log, who looks wild boar, that passes himself off as a pedigree PUG called Barney, and I believe him! 😮😃What breed of dog they are using here, I have no idea! Maybe you do? But with some added fur, teeth and attitude, they pull it off I think... just about ðŸ˜Š

FANS APPEAR to be as torn as a pair of 'postman's ravaged pants', on this film. Which I find odd. It's Amicus they did their own thing, only one Gothic film, mostly contemporary settings. Milton and Max left the tradition horror films to Hammer, who had more cash to bash a horror film. Amicus did different and took risks too!

ANYWAY, here are some more pics from the #PCASUK clutter for you to have a look at. I think it's worth noting that #INDICATOR / #POWERHOUSE has started to really build itself a sterling and quite trusted reliable reputation for BLU RAY and BOX SETS of considerable quality and content! SEVERAL of their #HAMMERFILMS collections have treated fans and collectors alike to very interesting titles supported with quite a stash of surprising extras (The recent Indicator Hammer Box Set 'FACES OF FEAR' VOLUME FOUR' included an impressive 4k remastering of 'The Revenge of Frankenstein' with the inclusion of some very rarely seen 'On Set' and Behind the scenes trims and footage of the #Braystudio floor during shooting with #PeterCushing, Francis Matthews, Eunice Gayson and Oscar Quitak) As, hoped, the '#THEBEASTMUSTDIE' blu ray also comes with its own bank of extras and goodies! It's open for pre-orders of it's LIMITED release right now 😉 - Marcus

GITTE SAYS TO SEND YOU HER LOVE! WHILE YOU ARE STILL HERE! WHEN LOVE FILLS THE VACCUM OF FEAR!

#WATCHWITHCUSHING! It takes a special friendship and almost psychic understanding... in order to meet for what you know is probably the last time, and to give exchanges and comments to each other, that because of your bond, need only be given in your shared 'short hand', that has been crafted and exchanged over many years, during tough times and good. This is how we see a brief insight into the friendship, love and respect both Peter Cushing and his close friend Christopher Lee had for each other.

EVEN WITH THE CLOSE  proximity of death, could be handled with irony and gallows humour! Although, when asked by Peter, 'Will you fill in for me, if I don't make it through this day?' even Lee could only reply, 'Oh don't say that..' They behaved like this over a 30 year career and friendship of even longer, even though, it was known in the industry that even though Cushing and Lee had this closeness, their wives Gitte Lee and Helen Cushing . . were not that close. What they were was fiercely protective of their husbands, their careers, standing and reputations.. plus Helen was born in Leningrad, USSR and Gitte in Copenhagen, Denmark . . Strong wives, for husbands who loved to play 😊 - Marcus
