#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY! 1956 BEFORE STORM AND STUNNING PORTRAIT

#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY: Peter Cushing at his and Helen's London home, and a visit from the press . . . this was August 1956, just months before the release of Hammer films, The Curse of Frankenstein . . . and soon everything would change. Cushing had been the face of television drama since the early 50's... soon he would be the face of British Horror Films a label that would stick for the rest of his career. . . .

#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY! : An excellent portrait of Peter Cushing from the 1967 'Frankenstein Created Woman' by the very talented Frankie Smith. Would it look good on your study wall??? For Frankie's Website Click : HERE!

ON THE SET OF TASTE THE BLOOD OF DRACULA AND HOW HE MET SHE : CHRISTOPHER AND GITTE

#CHRISTOPHERLEESATURDAY! A VERY neat short of RAW footage of Christopher Lee on the set of Hammer's Taste The Blood Of Dracula (1970) at Elstree Studios, UK.

ABOVE PROBABLY one of the worst cases of Cut and Paste in this Euro cinema poster for Taste the Blood of Dracula . . . hmm PASTE the Blood of Dracula, maybe?

#CHRISTOPHERLEESATURDAY! Just like Peter and Helen Cushing, they were inseparable . . . but do you know how they met?

#HAPPYFATHERSDAY: FATHERS PASSED BUT NOT FORGOTTEN!

#HAPPYFATHERSDAY! It's the day for Dad's whoever you are, wherever you are all over the world. Father's here, Father's passed. Father's who can celebrate with their children today, and Father's, for whatever reason can not. My Dad is 4,000 miles away today, but only seconds away when I picked up that phone. He is, all I could ever ask for in a Father and friend . . .hey and without him, I never would have seen Dr Who and the Daleks in the cinema way back then!

Christina Lee with Father Christopher and Mother, Birgit.

Victoria with Father Vincent and pet Pug, Puffle!
CUSHING'S FATHER George, was a rock. Though he was closer to his Mother, Nellie, his Dad was always there for him, when he needed him. Cushing joked that his Father paid for his air ticker to the USA back in 1939, but he bought a ONE WAY ticket!!! Victoria Price has shared her memories of her Dad Vincent in an amazing book. And today she still travels the world, sharing stories and celebrating her father. Christina Lee I am sure, is still really missing her Father, Christopher. You only have to see the pics of her and her Dad to know, they were very close. With both Christina and Victoria, you can see many mannerisms that hint at their Dad's.... Happy Father's Day!

The Cushing Family: Peter at the top, his Father George, Mother Nellie and his Brother, David.

IN MEMORIAM PETER CUSHING : 11TH AUGUST 1994 : TWENTY ONE YEARS AGO TODAY

In Memory of Peter Wilton Cushing 26th May 1913 - 11th August 1994:

Today we mark the 21st Anniversary of the day the Peter Cushing left us. You may remember last year, being the 20th anniversary, we celebrated his life and career with posts of memories and stories from his friends and people from the industry who remembered him... it was quite a day.

As a society, here at our website and our Peter Cushing Facebook Fan Page we mark the many birthdays and the sad news others passing, and also remembering those who worked with or knew Peter Cushing. It's a sad day, but as always, we ask that the mood be one of celebration...the celebration of a life well lived, of his career, his professional achievements and of him being the most of gentle, of gentle men.

We will be posting comment, images, memories at the Peter Cushing Appreciation Society Facebook Fan Page through out the day. Please feel free to join us.
