Unbelievably, it's 41 YEARS, that's 14983 Days Today... since Peter Cushing started his four days work at Elstree studios playing the role of Grand Moff Tarkin in 'Star Wars'. Here's a very nest snap of Peter between takes with Don Henderson on the left and Dave Prowse as Darth Vader, standing... er, where else but, behind!

HERE'S AN IMAGE, I had not come across as a publicity still before, until a few days ago! #HAMMERFILMSSATURDAY: Here is a great action shot of Peter Cushing as Van Helsing about to drive the spade into Count Dracula from Hammer's Dracula AD 1972. Ouch!

NOBODY EVER QUIET stalked the way, Christopher Lee stalked in the role of #COUNTDRACULA. Here he is in his first outing as #DRACULA in Hammer films 1958, 'Dracula' / 'Horror of Dracula' with Carol Marsh awaiting her, 'Terrifying Lover who died, YET lived' !!!

#GETTHECUSHIONITSCUSHING! A beautiful and rare publicity photograph of Peter Cushing as Dr Lawrence from 'The Ghoul' (1975) Kneeling at the altar, the photograph that Cushing is holding, is actually a photograph of his late wife, Helen. As I am sure regular visitors to this page know, the pic was included in the film, by special request from Peter... in order that he could fulfill his wish, of having appeared in a motion picture with his wife...

REQUESTED: VINTAGE AND RARE DALEK AND BIKINI CLAD CURZON PHOTOGRAPH 1966

REQUESTED: Here's a rare colour transparency of Jill Curzon in a publicity shot for the second Cushing Dr Who film, 'Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD'... P Carter from Leeds requested this shot, as he had heard of it's existence, but didn't quite believe it... Dr Who's assistant in a bikini posing with a Dalek??! All in the name of getting bottoms on seats... needless to say, Curzon didn't appear in this outfit in the film...

TRIVIA: Interestingly... the film Daleks – Invasion Earth: 2150 A.D. ..was originally entitled Daleks INVADE Earth 2150 AD, according to this rare and vintage 'coverage story' document ...Hmm maybe Invasion DOES sound better?

PETER CUSHING DR WHO: Here's a great competition from back in the day, when prizes meant PRIZES! All 450 of them up for grabs, including 'THREE film Daleks' from 'Dr Who and the Daleks' starring Peter Cushing and seen her with the Dalek, Roberta Tovey. All this came courtesy of the kids comic TV 21... If you happen to have a Tardis or any other time machine handy, let me know and we'll nip in it, off to 1965 and bag those prizes!

Peter Cushing, Jennie Linden and Roy Castle... 'Dr Who and the Daleks' (1965) Castle's clowning for the camera and press here with Dalek 'Claw-thing', would have many Who fans today rolling their eyes, I am sure... but all good fun at the time.
