RADIO PROMO SPOTS AND EURO LOBBY CARDS

#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY: I've had some requests for quite a few radio spots that were made for Peter Cushing's Hammer films...this is one of the effective ones! Used in the US to coax the paying punters through the door, radio spots for Hammer films were not usual, in this time before the net. We have added some great visuals to the audio, to enhance your enjoyment.

#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY.. OOPS! Here's something that rarely ever happened in a Cushing Frankenstein film... a blooper and one that MADE IT into the final edit! Something tells me that 20th Century studio crew technician, really shouldn't have been in Veronica Carlson's Edwardian house?? 😉 See if YOU can SPOT HIM . . .

FRANKENSTEIN TRAPPED! #GETTHECUSHION SUNDAY CLIP

#Getthecushionitscushing...SUNDAY !: Baron Frankenstein in 'Frankenstein Must Be Destroyed' (1969) has been over the years, singled out by critics and fans alike as Cushing's most his most evil and vicious portrayal of the Baron. 'Destroyed' presents us with a black-mailing, murdering, lying and cruel twisted monster. And yet...and yet, come the climactic ending of the film, we are praying for his escape, and hoping he 'gets out of this one'!

ON SEEING THIS FILM for the first time in the early 70's, this scene really did have me on the edge of my seat. The panic in the score, the hopeless situation that Frankenstein finds himself trapped in, the fire, poor Freddie Jones, Veronica Carlson, and Simon ward ... Ward's escape, a missed opportunity in a sequel, if ever there was one... this scene has it all. Rates as NUMBER THREE in my all time fav Cushing Frankenstein scenes. Ok. You can come out from behind that cushion, when he music stops....!

#FRANKENSTEINFRIDAY GOES WITH A 'SWING AND A SLASH!' PLUS BIRTHDAY TRIBUTES

#frankensteinfriday: it has to be one of the top prologues to a Hammer film...maybe Dracula, Prince of Darkness, Dracula AD 1972 get the top prizes? ..Frankenstein hacks his way into the latest #frankenstein #petercushing adventure... it's a two part prologue that has quite a few frights. Maybe your favorite too??

ALSO TODAY WE WISH HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ian Ogilvy, a wonderful actor best known for playing playing the role of Simon Templar in the TV series Return Of The Saint (1978-79)….. Ian has starred with three horror legends first with Boris Karloff in The Sorcerers (1967), Vincent Price in Witchfinder General (1968) and with Peter Cushing in two films for Amicus From The Beyond The Grave (1973) and And Now The Screaming Starts (1973)

WE ALSO REMEMBER and pay tribute to actress Deborah Kerr, an very talented actress who covered multiple genres of film during her career. Horror fans will remember her, for The Innocents (1961) and Eye Of The Devil (1966). She co-starred with Peter Cushing in The End Of The Affair (1955) which is often considered one of his best pre-hammer film......... What are some of your favourite of her performances?
