#PETERCUSHING IN 1980 : WHAT DIDN'T CHANGE AFTER #STARWARS!

I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT, that #PeterCushing never did truly understand or believe the influence and currency of his work and indeed, his work with Hammer and Amicus films.. In the year of this interview, 1980, Cushing wrapped the year with not only, an impressive performance in 'A Tale of Two Cities', but ironically one last role for #Hammerfilms. 'The Hammer House of Horror' tv series, gave him the opportunity to play the sinister pet shop owner, Martin Blueck in 'Silent Scream' with a young Brian Cox. This episode was directed by Alan Gibson, who worked with Peter in Dracula AD 1972, Satanic Rites of Dracula and Helen Keller: The Miracle Continues later in 1984.

'SILENT SCREAM' is a claustrophobic tale and for many is, the creepiest and most brilliant part of the 13-episode series. In 'A Tale of Two Cities' Peter plays Dr. Alexander Manette, and joined by Chris Sarandon and #AliceKrige... his performance, will make you weep!

#HAPPYBIRTHDAY! ROGUE MOFF TARKIN GUY HENRY!

TODAY WE WISH a very happy birthday to #GuyHenry an actor who was busily working in a UK soap drama... and then was thrust into the spotlight, following huge anticipation for the arrival of the STAR WARS movie, #ROGUEONE ! HENRY WASN'T just playing any character though, it was a role that would split the opinion of Cushing fans, movie goers and #StarWars Followers, the world over. . .

SINCE THE OFFICIAL THEATRICAL RELEASE of the movie, with BOTH Peter Cushing's Grand Moff Tarkin and Carrie Fisher's Princess Leia characters brought back through cutting edge visual effects, a CGI genius named #Shamhook /#DEEPFAKE has no doubt improved upon this work by, that is seen by many fans, more than just a step up making them both, much more convincing in their CGI creation. A Job Well done, Mr Henry ðŸ˜Š A VERY Happy Birthday to you, have a great day!

You can order your copy, RIGHT HERE!

HERE IS THE BACK STORY on this Robert Hack artwork, depicting Peter Cushing's Dr Who and the Trods, from VWRP Editor, Colin Brockhurst! 'Hello, I'm the editor of Vworp Vworp! The above is the back of Cover C (the Jon Pertwee one), one of three covers to the fourth issue, released a couple of weeks ago. It depicts Cushing's Dr Who in an imaginary film that pits him against the Trods, robots from TV Comic's long-running Doctor Who strip. It's by Robert Hack, as Chris says. He's very clever. You should probably all buy the magazine immediately, from: HERE!

Below Text and Copy from our PCASUK Facebook Post today:
Well . .  THIS is a thing of beauty... as indeed anything is that puts #PeterCushing in a #Tardis and his performance of the alternative universe time traveller and grandfather, #DrWho out there!. I am not sure what this amazing comic art cover is connected to, in this world though... #VworpVwarpzine and Trods? But I am sure someone out there can tell us??
