'This is going to be ****' and 'I'll reserve, until seen!'  I am game to see this next year, of course. My only grumble is, there is no #VanHelsing role in the plot! Missed opportunity or maybe not.....

ALSO SHARED at the today: 'IF you have never heard of Tom Chantrell or Tom Chan.. if you want his real name ... then don't despair because you probably would have seen one, maybe two or more of his unique style and artistry in thousands of cinema posters over a 40 year plus career... THE Star Wars cinema post or the 'C poster' as it known, is one of his best, along with many #Hammerfilms and #Amicusfilms for #PeterCushing, #christopherLee.. he was THE poster artist with such a unique style and produced beautiful work that now sells in no small figures these days. Top marks to #ConvexFilmsUK for what is a very detailed and affectionate documentary. 

 

MANY OF Tom Chantrell's paste up and work in progress looked better than some cinema poster artist's finished work! Tom was a professional, even his draughts were quite something! As Tom only often had the smallest of briefings about the film's story... I wonder if ALL of the figures, with the exception of #ChristopherLee's Creation from 'Curse of Frankenstein' .. were from Tom's imagination OR were some of these elements in a synopsis or briefing that Hammer gave him?? 'crowds of hooded monk like characters'? If so, it might give us some understanding to the OTT title of 'Destroyed' Strap line: 'A search for the power of evil, releases uncontrollable forces on the WORLD' sounds like a little bigger than Veronica Carlson's Anna's home and a basement lab? You think?
