DR WHO AND THE DALEKS: PETER CUSHING AND ROY CASTLE : OUR FAVOURITE TIN THING

Oh my! Ideas of what could be inside those armored shells of the Daleks have certainly come a long way since Peter's movie back in 1965. It was almost as if the makers thought the creature inside was also sat on a little seat, wheeling the figure around..not unlike the real controllers! I was only 6 years of age when I saw this film, the first movie I saw in the cinema. It is this scene and the creepy claw like hand I remember above all else... Peter Cushing as Dr Who and Roy Castle in DR WHO AND THE DALEKS (1965)

PETER'S TWO AUTOBIOGRAPHIES RE RELEASED AS COMPLETE MEMOIRS FOR CENTENARY YEAR 2013

PETER'S TWO AUTOBIOGRAPHIES RE RELEASED AS THE COMPLETE MEMOIRS FOR HIS CENTENARY APRIL 23RD NEXT YEAR: "This lavish new book collects both volumes of Peter Cushing's memoirs - "An Autobiography" and "Past Forgetting" - with extensive unseen material from his private collection. Cushing was widely known as 'the gentleman of horror', his kind and sensitive nature a sharp contrast with the Hammer Horror roles that dominated his work from the 1950s onwards. This is Cushing's own account of his remarkable career, and the devastating sense of loss he suffered following the death of his wife. It offers unparalleled insight to the meticulous professionalism and private torment of a legendary film star."
