GLADYS FLETCHER. This angel of a woman left us a few years ago now. She had contracted polio as a child which made life very difficult for her. Though, she never complained. Gladys worked in a major department store in Ipswich for over 40 years. She and her Mum, were two of Peter's biggest fans. Her Mum, was 92, but never missed a Peter Cushing on TV or at the cinema. Gladys met Peter for the first time in 1956. It was at this meeting, Peter suggested the idea of Gladys managing his Fan Club. He didn't have to ask twice! Within five days, the letter heads and membership cards were printed. Gladys placed a notice in a UK Picturegoer magazine...and the fans kept coming!

PROMOTION: In the early days, pre internet, thousands of these handouts were printed up. PCASUK used them at conventions, events and any publicity.Promotion was also helped by having a great line up of Honorary Members: Vincent Price, Ingrid Pitt, Roy Ashton and Milton Subotsky!

INTERVIEWS: Over the years PCASUK has interviewed an army of actors, technicians, directors and scriptwriters who during their careers worked alongside Peter Cushing. All the interviews are audio taped and some are on video. Most of these interviews go back some 25 years or more. Sadly, many of these people are no longer with us.
